Delete this page. The CD is a fake. Just got it, blank disk. -- DidgeGuy (आ ज) 18:33, 12 November 2010

i'm assuming you put it in your computer. did you try an old-fashioned cd player? sometimes promo discs can be screwy like that. --ant 19:36, 12 November 2010 (UTC)
Yes. I tried it on two computers, and on an older boom-box. The computer said blank disc, and the cd player popped it back out. I contacted the seller, i'm waiting to hear back. It was listed as a "record company blue cd". What would that mean? It looks like a cdr with a label on it. Is that the way something like this would look like? -- DidgeGuy (आ ज) 18:45, 12 November 2010
yes, it most likely is a cd-r. a lot of minimal, self-released cd promos have been cd-rs since the late 90s (e.g. 2001 sampler, bed bed bed promo, etc). --ant 19:48, 12 November 2010 (UTC)
I think we should wait. I wouldn't think it's a fake...it's probably more of the fact that it was made using CDR technologies that are now 11 years old, and it might not play on your modern player. --Duke33 21:04, 12 November 2010 (UTC)
Well, my cd player is pretty old, at least 13 years. -- DidgeGuy (आ ज) 21:59, 12 November 2010
it's also very possible that it has degraded... cds don't last forever, and cd-rs have shorter longevities as well. lifespans have improved over time as well, so early discs are not exactly the best choice for archival storage. --ant 22:05, 12 November 2010 (UTC)
