Fan Recaps and Comments:

Pointfest, sponsored by radio station KPNT ("The Point"). Ticket prices were $10.50 lawn, $12.50 reserved.

From the St. Louis Post-Dispatch (Sep. 14, 1993):

Earlier, They Might Be Giants energized the crowd with a pumped-up performance that ran the gamut from a comical look at the solar system to the hard-driving "I Palindrome I." This highly popular band featured musical accompaniment ranging fron saxophone to clarinet, with a little xylophone thrown in for good measure. The rousing set reached its peak near the end, with an arresting rendition of "Istanbul Not Constantinople."

This was Pointfest 1, hosted by the St. Louis radio station The Point. Other bands there that year were Aimee Mann, Hothouse Flowers, and Midnight Oil. There were two other bands other than TMBG who played, also, but I don't remember who they were.
