A pair of likely candidates for the ever-growing list of funny band names will play the Pterodactyl Club Tuesday.
Two guys with a quirky, offbeat sense of humor, They Might Be Giants, are headlining. You may remember them from their video, which was in fairly heavy rotation on MTV recently. Opening for them is the Pterodactyl's new house band, Surfin' Sid & The New Music Moguls, also known for a slightly unbalanced streak of wit. If you're in the mood for a few laughs, this is the show for you. It starts about 10 p.m. at the Pterodactyl, at the corner of Freedom Drive and Morehead Street.
