John Linnell briefly mentioned this show in a 1990 issue of the Honolulu Star Bulletin:
We played at the Wave three or four years ago [sic] for an ESPN surf competition. I still don't know why they picked us because I don't see what our music has to do with surfing. I doubt anyone who saw us had heard of us before then.
