Rauschpfeife

The rauschpfeife is a woodwind instrument whose original purpose was to be played while marching into battle. It sounds like many other woodwinds, but its shape allows it to be much louder with less force of breath.
Wayne Evan Hankin plays the rauschpfeife in the song "Older" from Mink Car. The inclusion of the rauschpfeife and sarrusophone on that recording distance it from the original version that appeared on Long Tall Weekend.
