As many have noted, we have been re-releasing and pressing much of our catalog on vinyl in recent years, but no project has delivered as much satisfaction as this pressing of Mink Car. Lovingly remastered at Sterling Sound, pressed on 180 gram vinyl in an incredible visual package (including “band” embossing!) this one rings all the bells.

This “great lost album,” Mink Car was initially overlooked due to the near-instant collapse of Restless Records after the events of 9/11. Recorded in New York City and London this album includes the first collaborations with Langer/Winstanley since the Flood sessions (“Bangs”, “Cyclops Rock”, “My Man”). The album also includes notable productions with Adam Schlesinger from Fountains of Wayne (“Man, It’s So Loud in Here”, “Yeh Yeh”, “Another First Kiss”).

THE TOUR STARTS IN 2 WEEKS!

In many ways these shows will be very different than our last appearances in the midwest and Texas. While we have the same busted-give-a-damn attitude, and we always play the favorites, we have some great new songs from our new LP and Eyeball EP. We are still playing two sets with no opener, but each night we will be performing a different “spotlight” set. We started this a while back playing Flood, John Henry, and Mink Car sets, but we have now added Lincoln, Apollo 18, and Factory Showroom to the spotlight rotation.

So we have a keen eye on NO REPEATS in your town.
