Everybody knows that there are times when TMBG folk need to go undercover, but still want to show their flare. This black on black design is almost invisible to the uninformed eye, but nonetheless the TMBG in beautiful original Brooklyn Dodgers type-style is in place and proudly across the entire shirt. You know you need this.
This all-over design of the Lincoln shirt is a marvel of printing. I forget the name of the process, but it is lightweight (not gummy like you’d expect) and a remarkably accurate reproduction of the beautiful Brian Dewan shrines photographed by Carol Kitman. Carol actually passed away recently, and there was a beautiful remembrance of her in The New York Times that is well worth everyone’s time digging in here.

This is one of the most enigmatic shirts amongst our design offerings. Created by David Cowles, this shirt illustrates each section of the song fingertips. No words. Who needs words?

To be candid, I don’t actually know the full story behind this shirt, but way way back in the day when we were working with Bar/None Records there was an exterminator in Hoboken, New Jersey who had a crazy T-shirt with the drawing of a dead cockroach on it. This started a conversation about how far out a shirt could get in the They Might Be Dead world. And this design was born. This reproduction is a bit less normcore 1986 but the vibe endured.

Here’s another perfect design from the fever dreams of David Cowles, featuring four real dinosaurs: the triceratops, moschops, gigantosaurus, and brachiosaurus. The shirt front functions like a Scholastic book with the magic red plastic decoder sheet, and the back is just a simple explainer for the five-year-old in your life who already has all the dinosaurs memorized. Yes, there are children’s sizes available.

David Plunkert delivers the enigmatic Dial-a-Song Forever shirt. These guys are busy keeping the operation going.

What can we say? The definitive Flood logo shirt in a beautiful green.

This shirt was put together with an illustration by Tony Millionaire of John and John in our future decrepitude. It’s a little startling now as we actually are creeping up via the unstoppable truth that is time, but we will keep on taking our vitamins and try to keep our health together for the duration.

Another remarkable David Cowles effort. In the 1960s, ESCO made oversized plaster figures of the Beatles, Frank Sinatra, and Louis Armstrong that could be found frequently in barbershops, bowling alleys, and bars all across America. Tapping in to this legacy, Cowles illustrated the four Mesopotamians in ESCO-style on the back of the shirt. On the front is the Mesopotamians logo from the original TV series.

We are honored that our pals, the Brothers Chaps, agreed to collaborate on this shirt. We have it in a beautiful maroon color and of course rock ‘n’ roll black. Guaranteed to be a conversation starter in any line you’re standing in.

This shirt brings back wild memories of peak grunge, and hanging out with The Meat Puppets as they enjoyed an unexpected revival in the warm embrace of Nirvana. Curt Kirkwood painted this original pistachio skull man for this shirt, and while we found it startling and slightly freakish, it proved to be also entirely in the zeitgeist of the moment that it outsold all our other designs, becoming a favorite at music festivals across the United States. Loved in the mid-90s and now back to be loved again.

This design was created by the Office of Paul Sahre. Those are cryptids. Cryptids are animals whose existence is unproven and/or disputed by mainstream science. They are the subjects of cryptozoology—a pseudoscience dedicated to finding creatures known only through folklore, unverified sightings, and anecdotal evidence. The resemblance to They Might Be Giants' band members is entirely coincidental.
Straight off the Back to Skull EP, this John Henry-era design is for all. Did you know that the John Henry vinyl reissue along with the John Henry Demo vinyl are also available on our merch site at www.TMBGshop.com? It is! And to celebrate that release we made a number of specialty items, including this beautiful shirt.

While I know I’m secretly a beatnik, I aspire to be a hippie and these flower shirts are the manifestation of that dream. Have a summer of love with this brand new design available in two different color ways and available in unisex and women’s cut!

Metal.

While on the Flood album tour in 2022, a local artist named Swing From The Rafters made a promotional poster incorporating every song title into a grocery sales flyer-styled graphic with the song lengths listed as the prices. The simple beauty of this idea has resonated widely and made this design one of our most popular.
