THE TOUR CARRIES ON TO NEW YORK CITY, LA, ATL, FL, TX
They Might Be Giants have just wrapped up two legs of our three-legged tour across the Unites States and we want to thank so many people for coming out to so many shows! Our crew put together an impressive sounding and looking show, and we are most grateful to the band for taking the people, the apes and the music both new and old to new levels.
THE TRAILER FIRE AND THE AVATARS!
We had an unfortunate set back late last week as our bus and equipment trailer were pulling out of San Diego. Our trailer caught fire and we lost a bunch of important stuff. Needless to say it has been an extremely stressful time. They Might Be Giants appreciate all your kind messages on Facebook and Twitter, and can assure you all our upcoming show will happen one way or another. TMBG can't stop, won't stop.
Some small positive news--the Avatars of They, who were traveling deep in the pack in their luxury suitcase--are safe. The suitcase is singed, stinky and discolored, but the Avatars themselves are in okay shape--a bit smokey and damp. While they claim they are emotionally ready to get back on the road, they have taken to only communicating to us through their legal representation, and to the general public via their new twitter feed @AvatarsOfThey.
