TMBG GO HIGHBROW, AND UPTOWN WITH A SHOW AT LINCOLN CENTER
All the fanciest seats are gone, but all of them are all close and very comfortable...
You are most cordially invited to see They Might be Giants Vs. McSweeney's at Lincoln Center. This show is part of the ongoing American Songbook series and is a benefit for NYC826. All artist proceeds will go directly to 826NYC, a drop-in tutoring center in Park Slope, Brooklyn.
The show itself will be at the brand new and shockingly beautiful Allen Room. TMBG will be performing a set of Venue Songs with a slide show accompaniment. The band will also back up the author and co-host Dave Eggers (A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius), and author and "This American Life" contributor Sarah Vowell in some special readings. Daily Show producer (and best selling co-author of "America") Ben Karlin will be reading an original essay as well. The Juilliard Community Choir will make a special guest appearance.
