The Loser's Lounge in "People are Wrong!"

Saturday, February 1 Two shows 7 pm and 9:30 pm

In the grand tradition of early 70's rock operas, People Are Wrong! is a manic and joyful celebration of melody and musical fable. This cautionary tale of a charismatic cult leader masquerading as a landscape artist in a rural upstate town is told entirely in song. Starring the brilliant downtown chanteur David Driver (Rent), John Flansburgh (They Might Be Giants), Maggie Moore (Hedwig) and Chris Anderson (Muckafurgason), People are Wrong! introduces the song-writing talents of Julia Greenberg and Robin Goldwasser to the musical stage. Backed up by the Loser's Lounge band and the inspiring vocal group STC (Sean Altman, Tricia Scotti and Connie Petruk), this is the first original production to come out of this highly creative team. Produced by John Flansburgh. Musical directors: Jeremy Chatzky and Joe McGinty. To check out free MP3s from the show go to www.peoplearewrong.net
