Lyrics Talk:We've Got A World That Swings

From This Might Be A Wiki

I so want this to be my wedding song!

My husband and I danced to "Another First Kiss". I highly recommend incorporating TMBG into your wedded bliss. --Ms Fernandez

Do, To, Too?[edit]

There seems to be some inconsistency as to if it is "flip a little do", "too", or "to" in this song. I did a google search, and turned up 5 sites that say "do", versus 128 for "too" and zero for "to". So, i took the liberty of updating it to use "too" on the lyrics and guitar tabs. If anyone has any conclusive proof (I wasn't able to find lyric sheets on the original song by Lil Mattis), feel free to post it here. --Duke33 18:07, 4 September 2007 (UTC)

When I sang this song with a group the lyric on the sheet music was "sing a little tune until I'm holding you." Seems to make sense. But I think Mel Torme pretty clearly sings "flip."

Looking through the liner notes for John Henry + Factory Showroom, it does say "do". GrizonII (talk) 19:18, 7 January 2016 (EST)

Listen to Jerry Lewis, who originated the song in "The Nutty Professor". He sings, "So I flip a little too", which refers back to "half the universe is up in arms". "flip a little do" makes no sense lyrically or grammatically. michael 7/23/26
