Lyrics Talk:Rhythm Section Want Ad
From This Might Be A Wiki
Curiosity: Every time I hear this song, it sounds like John isn't singing the listed lyric "room to roam", but more like "roam to room". Then he follows by mentioning "to turn mistakes into rhyme". If what I'm hearing is the case, the first line of the song is a mistake that has not been turned into rhyme. — Dro
Linnell's just got that Boston/NYC accent where the word 'room' sounds like 'rum'. He is DEFINITELY saying "room to roam." -CapitalQ ♫ talk ♪ 20:37, 25 Feb 2006 (CST)

how do we know that the booklet is incorrect? as wikipedia would say, [citation needed] --ant 20:11, 15 November 2008 (UTC)
- Yes, prose is very much more fitting. Especially knowing TMBG. Apollo
- Well it's obviously a pun (and a wonderful one at that). Does it really matter which one is implied and which is said? Just go with what the liners say as the explicit one. ~ magbatz 15:00, 2 December 2009 (UTC)
- This song has a theme? --Apollo 21:22, 25 January 2010 (UTC)
- You could argue for a theme of bands really existing as corporate fueled professional entities. In which those who write their pretty poetry should not be at the premises for the professionals and marketers responsible for music. Or the poets have the building in front of the sign, it's up to interpretation. ~ magbatz 22:48, 25 January 2010 (UTC)
- I was sort of joking, but that's an interesting idea. It's mildly dark, so I certainly wouldn't deny it. I suppose I sort of assumed it was a nonsensical piece based loosely on Their unorthadox approach at music. --Apollo 23:18, 25 January 2010 (UTC)
