Schizophrenics often believe there to be a connexion between themselves and someone or something in their environment, often someone/-thing deemed by many to be more imoortant than they, hence 'I matter enough that the Government bothers to persecute me.' and (here) 'Famous Person is connected to me...' though the usual corollary '...and is in love with me.' is contradicted.
