I was at that show and I could understand about five words. Notice they use key phrases like DARTH VADER"S NAKED and POKE YOUR EYE OUT. These woulderful images are what make a song provocative and illcontrived. GvA
I think that honestly, this is just an example of TMBG being weird for the sake of being weird. That's not post-modern, its just fun. -SEan St.
Seeing as how I actually live in Santa Cruz, I'm fairly well-acquainted with local culture, and I can say that there are a large number of insane people in Santa Cruz. Like, clinically insane. Schizophrenic, stuff like that. There are also a TON of stoners. To me, the weird, more-or-less nonsensical lyrics sound like either the rantings of a crazy person or the musings of a druggie. It really does fit the town well. ~Anna Ng hears your words. 08:55, 30 December 2006 (UTC)
I think this song has one of the most deepest messages of all TMBG songs. That message is: you can put any lyric into a song, and depending on the tempo, it will always, ALWAYS work. No other band on the face of the earth could get away with this one. --Mr. 77 00:55, 26 September 2008 (UTC)
