Clearly this song is about completing your course of study and achieving your college degree so you and your friends and family go out to celebrate.

The Dark Truth[edit]
"Hot Dog!" Despite it's happy, celebratory tone actually represents the dark Truth within Mickey and the gang's past. Don't tell anyone I said this, but they actually found Pluto, the DOG on a really hot day and he was severely dehydrated. Minnie mouse, having found him and touched his dry, sweaty, and sticky skin said, "Hot Dog!" And as we all already could've figured out, of course John Flansburgh of They Might Be Giants was there to film it. He went to art school, for God's sake. Therefore, he presented the idea to his bandmates John Linnell, and Linnell was like "Hot Dog! Let's rock this clubhouse mice gang!" So, you can't see it in the background of the show very well, but John Linnell is actually hidding behind furniture and so is Flansburgh, singing along with the cast of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse.
