Hey
Winter 1993

John Flansburgh here with some Hello news. This is our last mailing for 1993. Princess Marjorie, Operator Betty and I would like to thank all of you susbscribers for making it such a great year for us. It has been our pleasure bringing this music to you, and getting this project off the ground. We want to remind you that renewing is just a phone call away at 1-800-HELLO-41. Just leave your membership number, current card number and t-shirt size on the machine and Operator Betty will do the rest. And of course all mail order renewals are welcome via the form on the opposite page. We sincerely hope you all renew for '94.

It has been a special time here at Hello, because Princess Marjorie, our benevolent overlord, has recently tied the knot with her long time beau and is currently expecting a new edition to their young family. Congratulations!

Frank Black, formerly Black Francis of the Pixies, is our November release. Frank has foregone the full blown rhythm section and let us in the more immediate world of his songwriting. Recorded in preparation of his upcoming Elektra release, "Teenager of the Year", which will be in stores in '94.

Scott McCaughey is a long-standing member of the Young Fresh Fellows, one of the first and finest bands out of Seattle scene. Their numerous albums on Frontier include the recent gems, "Low Beat" and "Electric Bird Digest." In this solo effort, Scott has surrouned himself with a stellar, all star cast. We hope you enjoy this much anticipated disc.

Peace in the new year!
