P.O. Box 551, Palisades, New York 10964

John Flansburgh here. Marjorie Galen and I have started a new venture which we want you to check out. It's called the HELLO RECORDING CLUB.

Hello is a CD of the month club, with each month represented by a different performer recording four songs available exclusively thru Hello. We're working with some exciting new bands as well as some very interesting established recording acts. For an inflation-busting $41 subscribers will receive ten CD ep's this year! If you have a credit card order Hello by calling 1-800-HELLO-41

No matter when you subscribe you receive the full 1993 calendar year of releases. Hello is a perfect way to discover a whole new world in alternative music.

We started releasing CD's in March. Brooklyn artist and songwriter BRIAN DEWAN was the debut disc, with Brian accompanying himself on his electric zither. Brian has performed with The Blue Man Group and David Byrne's The Forest, and has created album covers for Mr. Byrne and They Might Be Giants. April's selection features two women from Japan who have formed a group called the NELORIES. Although both are college students (age 19), they are well on their way to becoming recording stars in their native country.

Releases in the immediate future include FRANK BLACK (formerly Black Francis of the Pixies), guitarist/genius EUGENE CHADBOURNE, unseen San Franciscans the RESIDENTS, an electronic music project produced by myself, FLANSBURGH, with Brooklyn art-rock fellow JOSHUA FRIED called HELLO, and New York tempo-phenomenon FLAT OLD WORLD.

Additional mail-order forms like this one are available at 1-800-HELLO-41. Of course, old-fashioned mail-orders via check or plastic cards are always welcome.
