Frank O'Toole
From This Might Be A Wiki
Frank O'Toole was a DJ for the East Orange, NJ radio station WFMU, and hosted his own late-night show, the Frank O'Toole Show. He started at WFMU in 1976 when he was at Upsala College, the school that WFMU used to be part of.
They Might Be Giants appeared on the Frank O'Toole Show at least twice. On their March 4, 1987 appearance, they played classic Dial-A-Song demos and songs from the original master tapes, as well as a live performance. Their performance of "When It Rains It Snows" was later put on the WFMU compilation Upsalapalooza. On the band's September 16, 1987 appearance, they played the entirety of the Don't Let's Start EP as well as also performing live.
Frank O'Toole passed away on May 2, 2019.[1]
