Fan Recaps and Comments:
This was the final show before They Might Be Giants took a seven-month break from live performances, during which they recorded Flood. An article in the March 10, 1989 issue of the CMJ New Music Report detailed the hiatus:
Flansburgh and Linnell just finished a busy schedule on the East Coast which included seven shows, three in-stores and nine station interviews in ten days. They currently are finishing up their European tour and will fly back and start a five-month vacation. During that, they will start work on their third album. Expect a few more new tracks however, by summertime.
