[edit] Trivia/Info

  • Also known as The Blue Note (in the original concert setlist)
  • Venue song for The Blue Note.
  • TMBG live from The Blue Note in Columbia, MO, 07/13/2004. A recording from the sound check was made available for free download on tmbg.com. Columbia is the home to University of Missouri-Columbia, aka Mizzou.
  • The intro from this song is played on The Late Show With David Letterman during the "Message From Laura Bush" clips.
  • From TMBG.com:
Columbia celebrates the fantastic Blue Note club, a venue that TMBG visited very early on in their touring career, and where on separate occasions both Linnell and Flansburgh have performed with the flu. Back in the asymmetrical nu-wave hairdo days of the 80s, it is where a young AJ Schnack, director of Gigantic, first encountered TMBG, and it has been host to countless musical legends over the past 20 years. The stage is 22 feet wide and 16 feet deep, making it about normal for a small theater stage.
