Confusion

"This sorry excuse for a song is used as an example of how Power Spheres must be used to create a masterful song. The members of this unknown, untalented group were murdered by their fan shortly after the recording of this song."

I don't understand this. Is it a joke? --Whistling in the dark 19:26, 3 Feb 2005 (EST)

I have no idea. I thought this song was used in an ad for Apollo 18 --BlarJotunn
I think it might be an example of how NOT to make a song, punctuated by the Power Sphere chart to show why They Might Be Giants are superior in their songmaking skills. -Drakken

Power Spheres

When I get home in the evening I'm going to capture a screen of how to NOT use the power spheres. I feel like that would be more fitting on this page. - Whirrrlwind (Woosh!) 03:38, 3 May 2006 (CDT)

Where does the whole "power sphere" thing come from, anyway? O_o ~Anna Ng hears your words. 19:28, 12 June 2007 (UTC)

Frowny Smile

Could this be a reference to the weird Beach Boys song "Wind Chimes"? ~ magbatz 00:03, 12 November 2007 (UTC)

Smiley Smile?? It was written for Smile, you cod. This is the only version that matters. :< (And it's definitely not a reference, who the hell knows about Wind Chimes?) -CapitalQtalk ♪ 00:28, 12 November 2007 (UTC)
Well, I was listening to Smiley Smile today, and it's definitely on there. The only reason I was thinking Wind Chime could be a mention to that song (besides the name thing) is that it's just so -- bad -- kinda like what TMBG was going for in this song. (As an aside, I was also listening to Pet Sounds and at some point thought Bee Of The Bird Of The Moth mirrored You Still Believed in Me's "cry-y-y-y-y", but I definitely know that that one's an unfounded claim.) ~ magbatz 02:33, 12 November 2007 (UTC)
The original version of "Wind Chimes" (that I linked to) is beautiful. Smiley Smile ruined most songs. -CapitalQtalk ♪ 03:36, 12 November 2007 (UTC)
