Wizard of Oz
did anyone notice that in the Steve Burns version, at the end you can hear somebody whistling "If I only had a Brain" from the Wizard of Oz? -MRH0RRIBLE 20:11, December 4, 2005]]

The Stranger
Is Dead somehow related to or about the book The Stranger? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 130.68.205.61 (talk) 23:11, March 25, 2007
Sirius Black
In the RPG I run, this has been declared one of the "Songs of Sirius Black". Of course, if taken literally, this means we have rather sick senses of humor... ~ Sam 12:10, July 25, 2007
Minor key
Using the miracles of modern computer technology, someone has cooked up a minor-key version of this song. It is...disturbing yet supremely awesome. Enjoy. --MisterMe (talk) 11:13, 30 May 2013 (EDT)
LP version?
The TMBG Myspace page has an "LP version" of Dead listed, but it just leads to the normal song... --DoubleDenial (talk) 19:52, 27 December 2019 (EST)
SCP-4107
If any of you are into the creepypasta scene, there is a whole entry inspired by this song on the SCP Foundation page here. The talk page directly links back to TMBW at one point, ha! (Beware, some of the SCP entries can be quite unsettling.) --MisterMe (talk) 16:48, 4 January 2022 (EST)
Just a suggestion
I think we should maybe add this song to the Different When Played Live theme, since there are drums in the live version of this track. Thoughts?
