extra syllable
There's another word squeezed in there between "all" and "men", I just know it. Is he saying "all of men" or "all the men"? Argh! --Nehushtan (talk) 14:16, 15 June 2021 (EDT)
- I listened to it several times again, and honestly it just sounds like Flansburgh's typical twangy hitch at the end of some syllables. --MisterMe (talk) 14:38, 15 June 2021 (EDT)
- I hadn't considered that... I assumed it was a word because there's an extra note for that syllable ("all x men" = "A E F#"). Do you think of that hitch as the end of the word "all" bending down from A to E? I'm hearing the phrase separated much more distinctly the second time than the first. I'm frustrated by the overdrive of the word "all" on the tape - it pushes out the modest sound that follows it, whatever it is. Grr. --Nehushtan (talk) 18:11, 15 June 2021 (EDT)
