Amy Allison is a singer/songwriter who has been active on the New York scene since the 1980s. Allison performed the vocal on "Something Grabbed Ahold Of My Hand" (Fingertips song #14), and her sampled voice can be heard at the end of "XTC Vs. Adam Ant." She also recorded the October 1995 CD for the Hello CD Of The Month Club with her band the Maudlins, which also featured Mark Donato and Mark Amft of Drink Me. She is the daughter of jazz musician Mose Allison.

When asked about his influences in a 2015 interview with Bearded Magazine, John Linnell included "anything by" Amy Allison.
