They Might Be Giants is the second greatest band ever, next to The Beatles. Oh boy, I know I'll get burned for that one.
Anyway, I've been listening to TMBG for a bit less than a year. I only have Flood right now due to lack of job and aspiration thereof. I hope to own all their albums starting with self-titled and then Mink Car. The only album I don't plan to buy is No! for obvious reasons. I might buy it for one of my neices or nephews one day.
I'm sure a lot of you are wondering why I listed a Power Rangers tape under my albums. Apparently--and I only discovered this when I recently dug it out of my old tape collection--this tape contains SenSurround, which was never released on full TMBG album. It's certainly good enough to be on one, though.
Other artists I like are Beatles (obviously), Devo, Rolling Stones, Herman's Hermits, Monkees, Three Dog Night, Cars, "Weird Al" Yankovic, Tommy James and the Shondells, Dave Clark 5, Kinks, Who, Guess Who, Grass Roots, Turtles, Zole, Logan Whitehurst & The Junior Science Club, Eggmen
Bands I've seen in concert are Ben Folds Five, The Eggmen, The Grass Roots, The Turtles, and Hermans Hermits.
I'm in a TMBG-esque band called Cuddlemonkey (website and samples to come soon), too bad the other guy in the band hates TMBG.
Other than music, I like learning useless languages like Latin, Esperanto, and Klingon, plus a few useful ones like French, German, Chinese, Japanese, etc. I also like studying eastern philosophies like Buddhism and Taoism, reading webcomics, and playing guitar. I use SuSE Linux 9.0 and sometimes BeOS 5 Personal Edition (I also have Windows '98, but abstain from exposing myself to its crappiness as often as possible). I'm a lacto-vegetarian, and hopefully will be a freshman in college next year. In case you haven't guessed, I am a geek.
