From This Might Be A Wiki

I'm wondering what's up with all this Garrison Keillor talk.

The Deranged Millionaire speaks of Keillor in the Venue Songs video intro, today when Flans introduced the band, he introduced Linnell as "Garrison Keillor", then his name was part of the Fingertips finale. GK is in the media right now because of the Robert Altman movie.

Since TMBG have never, to my knowlege, appeared on Prairie Home Companion (even when GK was doing a show out of Brooklyn in the 1990s), I'm hoping the they are trying to get his attention so that he will book them (much as Letterman talked about Oprah for years until she finally came on his show, except the other way around), or perhaps foreshadowing that they have something in the works.

PHC usually performs a few shows each year from Town Hall in New York - anybody wanna bet they'll be on?

What does it take?[edit]

Should there be another headline for listening to this show on xpn.org, live? Or is there a specific "being there" necessity for it? SonicFan 14:02, 30 Jun 2006 (MDT)

I was there, but wasn't there if you know what I mean. I think its fine to say you attended even if you didn't actually go to the show and just listened online.--Cody Schmidt 07:26, 2 Jul 2006 (MDT)
