Talk:Heart Of The Band

From This Might Be A Wiki

oh god is it about drums

Why do you people hate drum songs? o_O --Luke 02:13, 24 December 2007 (UTC)

Does anyone else find it ironic that They Might Be Giants of all bands should write a song about the necessity of a drummer? --dogonfire

No, but I do find it ironic that a band like They Might Be Giants would have such whiny fans, considering all the stuff they give you. Freetunes, podcasts, an more and all you do is bitch about the songs. Really classy. Way to show your age. --Luke 05:31, 24 December 2007 (UTC)
Luke, you know, dogonfire's post is not necessarily a complaint-- merely a whimsical observation or something of the like. And even if this guy (who is not editing from the same IP as the first comment) was insulting, it wasn't horrible enough to merit a counterattack about the commenter calling them whiny, un-classy, and unappreciative bitch. Keep on rockin' in the free world, ladies and gentlemen. ~ magbatz 06:05, 24 December 2007 (UTC)
Yeah, I was going for whimsy. Like They're implying the songs They did with the drum machine were when They were a heartless band. I actually think it's a cute song. --dogonfire
Hey, uh, also, the song could've been written for Higglytown Heroes; even commissioned by the show, maybe. Those episodes probably take some time to write and produce. -CapitalQtalk ♪ 06:11, 24 December 2007 (UTC)
Yeah? Well...uh...YOUR FACE! Ha, beat that, Mister Master Of Prose. --Luke 06:13, 24 December 2007 (UTC)

Even when we're playing, if the drums aren't playing, it's just like the song is standing still[edit]

Well, not really... -- Buzzmusic100 ("Keep your voice down...")

Dead is not a band piece, it is a piano arrangement with vocal accompaniment. Do you think when Bach played the songs stood still? -Apollo. 02:42, 4 April 2010 (UTC)
I guess that's true. ;-) -- Buzzmusic100 ("Keep your voice down...")

Anyone else hear Linnell doing backup vocals??? It seems very mixed down, but I think I hear him.
