Fan Recaps and Comments:

This show was partially broadcast on Americana Live, a music program on the Italian radio station RAI Stereo 1. Tickets were $8.

Catsmoke:

Liberty Lunch was a small venue, located between the University of Texas campus and downtown Austin. At the most, there were 40 people at this show.
During the song "Put Your Hand Inside the Puppet Head" John sang a revised lyric: Do the dumb thing I gotta do: kill George Bush!
During the encore, someone requested that the band play a specific song. "We can't play that one now," John said. "The drum machine is pre-programmed. We have to play whatever is next."
Someone threw a beer bottle at the stage; John Linnell saw the incoming missile and smoothly leaned backwards; it just missed his head; he didn't miss a note.
