John Flansburgh and John Linnell, the two songwriters who call themselves They Might Be Giants, will perform New Year's Eve at Darinka, 118 East First Street, near Avenue A (598-0157). Together, the duo has set such insights as "Youth Culture Killed My Dog," "Alienation's for the Rich" and "Nothing's Gonna Change My Clothes" to offhand pop, new wave and country music. The songwriters have released an album titled "They Might Be Giants." Their New Year's Eve show, with Cowboy Dick opening, will begin at 10 P.M. For ticket prices, call the club.
