Body:	FLANSBLOG 9000 Hi everybody! John F. of TMBG here! Greetings to all our 50,000 myspace friends! Tremendous excitement in TMBG-land as The Else finally touches down in the physical realm. Very boosted by the overwhelmingly positive reaction in the media and with the audience. The band is in full swing preparing material new and old for our big NYC stand and our summer and impossibly long fall tour legs. We're pulling out some lesser played favorites: It's Not My Birthday, They Got Lost (the funky fast version) and some top secret mega-dusty tracks we want to keep secret until they are unvieled at the Bowery. Our lighing guy Iggy has been hunkered down with a bunch of new gear, so the show will have a bigger more dramatic look (although we have yet to make the leap to video projection and all that AV stuff. Maybe it's just a matter of time....) On the promotional front, John and I did a taped interview with public radio deity Bob Edwards. Bob Edwards Weekend is doing a feature on "The Else" so we got to wear headphones and hear Bob's questions with his amazing, familiar and startlingly gravelly voice via ISDN line from Washington DC. Today we're recording a program with "Fair Game" a new radio show through PRI with the full band rockin' out City Hall style at the venerable WNYC studios. Of course we are getting ready for the big Conan show on Friday too. We'll be playing I'm Impressed, and Linnell will be performing the song on a real celeste, a bell-like keyboard most often heard in children's music and film soundtracks. It's actually one of those sounds you've heard a million times, but never seen the actual instrument in action. We're playing on Friday the 13, but we're feeling lucky. Talk to you soon!
