Category talk:Songs without Lyric pages

This category looks pretty neglected at a glance. I was thinking someone could make a bot go through all the pages here and get rid of the ones which have lyrics already, just so it's easier to tell which pages actually need work - is that feasible, or a waste of time? ~ blitzente (talk) 20:49, 27 April 2009 (UTC)

Since this is a category page (a list of all song pages with the "Songs without Lyric pages" cat-tag, which itself gets placed on pages automatically from the Song Info template), we can't simply remove pages from *this page*; it would involve changing part of the song-info template (or even inserting a new template into the desired song pages to negate the category-tagging)... both of which are doable. However, some would argue that all of these pages (even, say, the redundant Letterbox (Ritz Show)) could (and should) have lyrics pages inserted to make it look better or more navigable, so they should remain in this Category's list. What do other people think?

Oh. Never mind. I misunderstood what you said. I thought you were referring to songs whose "main" song page (like with the live Letterbox) already had lyrics. But it's just that the category's screwy. Going to each "wrong" songpage, clicking edit, and "save" does the trick usually. I spot-checked like 20 or so of the pages, and only one of them was incorrectly categorized. Can you guys give me some examples, because i just don't see it... --Duke33 14:43, 28 April 2009 (UTC)

That's weird... Yesterday I know there were several pages which didn't belong in the category (Particle Man (the regular version, the page with the video on it) was listed under the letter S, and I remember seeing some others like Best Of Spin The Dial and S-E-X-X-Y Radio Edit), but it looks like nearly all of them have gone and I didn't take screencaps. I guess it must have glitched earlier, so the category doesn't actually need cleaning up. Please disregard. ~ blitzente (talk) 15:37, 28 April 2009 (UTC)

I looked at the category and there were a lot of songs that didn't belong in the category! Such as... Science Is Real and Rhythm Section Want Ad. Must be a glitch. -- Buzzmusic100 ("Keep your voice down...")
