Talk:Julian Koster
From This Might Be A Wiki
Not to be a spoilsport(??), but I don't think Julian Koster really needs a page. There's no more information to be gained here than on the page for "James K. Polk". I'd say a Wikipedia link would suffice. - Apollo (colloquia!) 17:57, 18 July 2011 (EDT)
- Why does Mr. Charlie Sepulveda deserve a page even more? ~ veggieman 17:58, 18 July 2011 (EDT)
- Well, he played on two songs. The information on that page could only be gathered by an individual with visits to multiple pages. If you clicked his name on the credits page for, say, "Istanbul", you would find, on his page, that his name was spelled incorrectly in the liner notes of Flood and that he played trumpet on "Your Racist Friend", too. Clicking the link to the page for Julian here would give you no more information about his relevance to TMBG. - Apollo (colloquia!) 18:12, 18 July 2011 (EDT)
- Your argument is flawed, because Mr. Koster happens to be one of the greatest people ever. ~ magbatz 18:38, 18 July 2011 (EDT)

- Exactly! :D ~ veggieman 21:20, 18 July 2011 (EDT)
- First of all, in addition to 1 song vs. 2, the Sepulveda argument is a bad one; he's not exactly an anchoring example of TMBW brilliance to hold onto, and it would make more sense to delete than keep both. Also, I'm guessing Koster only made his appearance in Polk because Brian Dewan is a mutual friend; we already have a page for him. It's a neat claim to fame, and I'm glad you love the fella (I do as well), but it really isn't necessary. Sad I know, but Mr. Koster's music teaches us to channel our heartbreak into exhausting bouts of psychopathic rage, so all is not lost. I guess we can wait for a fourth opinion before the Ultimate Fate of this Page is Decided. ~ magbatz 21:27, 18 July 2011 (EDT)
