Is there a studio release of this song?

the greatest millenium

I was watching a clip of the Daily Show on Youtube, and it was called (I think) "The Greatest Millenium", and Jon Stewart said "along with They Might Be Giants..." just wondering if anyone knew where I could find this full episode, sorry if this isn't the right place to put it... it IS dog on fire related..

Oh man, I wish I had this so bad. I saw it way back when it aired, long before I was a TMBG fan. They played I Can Hear You at the end. I hope somedbody has this.--Anextrafacelol 06:58, 8 April 2007 (UTC)
Yeah. They played all the intro/outro/segment music for it. Was a hour long special called The Greatest Millennium. Broadcast December 15, 1999. --Valerie 19:32, 14 August 2007 (UTC)
Also, I have this. If anyone wants it, I can send it through AIM. My sn's valb3322. --Valerie 01:46, 15 August 2007 (UTC)
I do want this, but I don't have AIM, any other way you could send it? --Jade 02:54, 15 August 2007 (UTC)

I found one thing in the credits amusing for some reason:

Multiple versions

My music fan powers are kind of limited, so I'm throwing this out into the internet. There are at least two versions of "Dog on Fire" by TMBG for the Daily Show. The one released on the podcast covers the end credits of the show, but there's at least one other minute-plus arrangement, which I think is the music played over the opening sequence. I've only heard it in a couple places, though, and never as a clean copy. The best I've got is a minute-long extract played over the closing credits of Fresh Air's retrospective on Jon Stewart just before his finale aired. I'm hoping someone else can fill in some of the gaps with this.--Hazzenkockle (talk) 22:22, 1 October 2015 (EDT)

That's what I get for skimping on my research. Since the last time I checked, at least two people got full versions of the opening theme from somewhere and put them on YouTube. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i-YonLEv7Go https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E7KiXMfTe5M Should the article be split in two for the opening and closing credits versions? That seems to be SOP for different recordings of the same song.--Hazzenkockle (talk) 23:22, 2 October 2015 (EDT)

Remix

The Daily Show is now using a remix of this track done by Timbaland. If there are no objections I'll make a page for each recording and the remix. — ACupOfCoffee (talk) 00:00, 23 February 2016 (EST)
