John Flansburgh talks about performing on Jay Leno in a 1990 interview[1]:
Were we scared? That's a good word to describe us. That show's been on most of my life. However, Jay Leno was the host. His wife is a big fan of ours. We did 'Birdhouse' and 'Istanbul (Not Constantinople)' from our new album. And it was fun.
