Lyrics Talk:Careful What You Pack
I think it starts something like:
--
look at what you found
digging in the ground
near the goldfish pond
--
There are also some parts that have something to do with either "you" or "she" being in trouble.
There's another part that's something like:
--
she thinks she's smart
she's just curious
--
Can anyone help out here?
I can help a lot, but i'd rather wait until I get to hear the song one more time tommorow night before I submit the rest of the lyrics. -TDK 14:24, 11 May 2006 (CDT)
Reading these lyrics I could really see this song being used in Coraline. Would fit in the first part of the book where Coraline goes exploring in her yard.
- Now that you mention it, that's true. I'd actually be surprised if this doesn't wind up in Coraline. ~Anna Ng hears your words. 05:04, 14 April 2007 (UTC)
Out of all the songs on The Else, I'm looking forward to this one the most. The lyrics are amazing! :) ~Anna Ng hears your words. 05:04, 14 April 2007 (UTC)
Flansburgh comes to the party with the second best song on the Else. Beautiful lyrical and soft electronica that perhaps just misses a higher and softer acoustic guitar. Lyrically its difficult to dissect, but for me its almost a children's story about getting lost and making the wrong decisions. The primal fear of "there's no going back" being a strong theme.
