Funnily (spelling?) enough, I do too... I was saying that to my saxophone tutor (it's a fairly common sax key when you're concert E-flat which is alto and bari) and he said that liking a certain key is common with a tuned ear. Maybe because it's simple, but has a nice sound? A lot of good TMBG songs are in D (They'll Need A Crane, The Mesopotamians, I Palindrome I).
