Metropol and Rosebud, adjoining nightclubs in the Strip District, will host a Red Hot + Dance benefit at 8 p.m. Thursday, July 30. The event will raise money for the Pittsburgh AIDS Task Force.


The show will feature performances by They Might Be Giants, Jonathan Gregg and the Lonesome Debonaires and Paul Pesco, who has performed with C&C Music Factory.
Local performers who will appear include Dave and Maureen Budway, Rick Witkowski, Barbara Blue Quartet, Joe Negri Quartet, Planet Leo, Philip Harris and funny funny, Bill Deasy Band, Rusted Root, the Affordable Floors, the Elmonics and Joe Grushecky and the Houserockers.
Celebrity memorabilia from George Michael and others will be auctioned off.
The event is sponsored by Metropol/Rosebud, In Pittsburgh, WYEP-FM and National Record Mart, which is distributing AIDS information flyers in its stores to educate the public about the disease.
