- This song was written while watching the music video for the 1986 Aerosmith/Run-DMC collaboration "Walk This Way" on mute, which accounts for many of the surreal lyrics.
- Before the second set of their shows on the 2018 I Like Fun Tour, the band projected this demo version of "Last Wave", synchronized with the original Aerosmith/Run-DMC music video.
