Hey, Dr. Masonstein. Thanks for adding all the lyrics!

Hey, sir. Havisham here, got your message. Just curious - do you play a full 120-bass machine piano accordion or something else? I taught myself initially using the ever-trustworthy Mel Bay lesson books (if for nothing else to learn my way around the thing). Now, after the frightening stretch of time of 11 years, I can say it paid off. If you like, I can recommend some great books for both instruction and songs. (I refuse to learn Lady of Spain out of principle.)

Actually, I have a 48-bass piano accordion. I mostly just use first two rows and play chords on the piano side. It's pretty tough on the arms... it took me a while to build up some muscle so that I could play for more than 10 minutes at a time. 11 years is a long time! I just started last summer, but I had five years of piano when I was younger and I play keyboards in my rock band, so it was just a matter of figuring out the bass buttons. Which books should I get? - Doctor Masonstein
