I just read a probably true Jerry Lewis anecdote. A fellow who claimed to be Jerry's nephew wanted to record an album, but he sounded so much like Jerry that the backers were nervous. So he said, "Okay, let's go see Uncle Jerry!" and brought them to the movie set where Lewis was working. "I'm recording an album," he told Lewis, "but everybody says I sound just like Buddy Love."

"Kid," said Lewis, "If you can make money singing like Buddy Love, go ahead. That's why I'm in the movie business." --M. Fudd 00:35, 20 Jan 2006 (EST)

Did TMBG write the "Wild, wonderful venture..." part? I haven't heard it in any other versions and some of them have an extra random verse. They changed the melody slightly, too. For the better.
