Talk:Unknown Songs

From This Might Be A Wiki

I have no way of knowing, but I wonder if "I Can Tell" was an early version of "Prevenge." "I can tell that you're planning prevenge," or something like that. If I remember right, "I Can Tell" was first mentioned when The Spine was first being announced. My Evil Twin's Twin 17:22, 20 Dec 2005 (EST)

Is it possible that "Hit Me" refers to "Bastard..."? -~~

"Sunshine" might be the same as "Why Does The Sun Shine?", and on the Music From Malcolm In The Middle (Leaked Soundtrack) soundtrack, Sunshine directly follows Why Does... too. Magbatz

Is this possibly the Dog Entrance? It was on my PC listed as a TMBG song, and I can't find any mention of it on the wiki or the net in general. --LitMatch 19:19, 11 Apr 2006 (CDT)

That's not a TMBG song, someone just slapped TMBG's name to it and shared it on Kazaa or Limewire. -CapitalQtalk ♪ 19:26, 11 Apr 2006 (CDT)
Dog entrance makes me think of the Daily Show Theme Dog On Fire. Maybe it's related to that? --Valerie 17:27, 19 May 2006 (CDT)
I agree with Valerie's comment...should we maybe cross that one off the list?--Duke33 17:01, 10 January 2008 (UTC)
I agree too. There's a lot of different variations of the same songs done for advertisements, shows, and the like that have different names (you can look through a bunch of curiously-titled copyrighted TMBG works at the BMI song registry, which is somewhere on the internet). This was probably just another variation-- the Daily Show theme does have different parts for the opening, ad-breaks, and credits of the show. ~ magbatz 19:22, 10 January 2008 (UTC)

Tilboro Fair is probably Triboro, aka Triboro Bridge, right? Can't that be removed?--Oldpinebox 23:31, 11 November 2012 (EST)

Many of these are probably early names of The Spine songs —User:Giants Jubilee Mightathon

And is it safe to say Nightline In Primetime is just ‘Nightline’ or ‘Brave New World Theme’? —User:Giants Jubilee Mightathon

Classroom Transition, Dog Entrance, Happy Stewy Theme, Melvis Entrance, Principal Tarwater, Race Home, Read For School, Science Film, and Scratching were all definitely written for Stewy The Dog Boy so someone could make those pages. — User:Giants Jubilee Mightathon

We don't need pages for those songs considering we know almost nothing about them, haven't heard them and likely never will. -CapitalQtalk ♪ 19:47, 8 January 2020 (EST)
This page IS called Songs That Need Pages — User:Giants Jubilee Mightathon
true, but to be fair, this page itself probably needs a better name, maybe even better organization. some of these were randomly mentioned mid-album production (Dawn Divine and Stalker in Reverse come to mind)-- a majority were mentioned in the liner notes of User's Guide, as seen in the Talk page that's randomly thrown under See Also. there are probably a couple pages that need to *return* to this list (Beatles And Bugs specifically). this page is sorta just a mess at the moment. Snagwhag (talk) 13:29, 9 January 2020 (EST)
I was the one who added Dawn Divine and Stalker in Reverse. Should these not be here? Sorry. --ColorOfInfinity (talk) 19:30, 9 January 2020 (EST)
nah, they can probably stay. honestly this page lists songs that don't really "need pages" considering the very very scant amount of information available for these titles-- it's become a list of songs that probably exist (though "Songs That Probably Exist" is not a catchy title at ALL). reminds me of the long-lasting rumor about the songs Kitchen Door and Rules on the old 1984 Demo Tape page.
...honestly now that i think about it, it would be interesting to turn this weird bout of deep-end TMBG minutae into a 'rumored songs' page or something similar, and it could help collect some of the random dead-end (in my opinion) pages for tracks like Lost or Memoirs Of An Amnesiac that have very little information and just aren't publicly available in any form. thoughts? Just heard Walk On Water and I think that could definitely be it. Seeing as the album was released in '89, and has the Johns backing. Giants Jubilee Mightathon (talk) 12:57, 20 August 2020 (EDT)

Eruption[edit]

OK to add Eruption from Shows/Mono Puff/1998-02-05? It's presumably some sort of intro music... any details about it to make a page? -OldpineboxTalk 21:23, 23 August 2020 (EDT)

Then we should also add Bad Liquor, The People's Court Theme, and Everything Happens To Me Giants Jubilee Mightathon (talk) 21:28, 23 August 2020 (EDT)
Those tracks are in known and dated setlists, meaning fans were in attendance (including TMBW users). Therefore I don't really consider them to be "unknown songs" in the same caliber as ones on this page that we've never had a chance to hear. In fact, it looks like all of the songs you've both mentioned have been bootlegged! -CapitalQtalk ♪ 00:31, 24 August 2020 (EDT)

Stewy Incidental Music[edit]

CapitalQ confirmed the Stewy songs are the ones in the Kablam! short so should these pages be made? I ripped the video and made mp3s so I have run times. I think knowing that each song is an instrumental and how long each song is and where they appear in the video is enough for pages. Giants Jubilee Mightathon (talk) 15:22, 1 December 2020 (EST)
