Talk:Title Not In Lyrics

From This Might Be A Wiki

Richegreen proposed the idea of this page to me yesterday, and I thought it was definitely interesting enough to make. Right now it might be a bit incomplete, I only added the songs he could name off right away. I'd say the cut off between the title not being in the lyrics and being partially in the lyrics should be: 75% of the title's words have to be sung to fit it under the partial category. That's to keep short titles like Destination Moon in the "not sung" list. Did that make sense? -CapitalQtalk ♪ 17:33, 21 February 2007 (UTC)

Not really, to me at least. :P But how about we just play it by ear? Also, looking through Then just now, would either Untitled or Kitten Intro (or any intro, and Doris Cunningham as well) make it, or should we confine it only to actual songs? I'd say just songs. ~ magbatz 20:27, 21 February 2007 (UTC)
A suggestion: Greek #3 should probably come off the list. That's more a description than an actual song title - as in, it's just the song Number Three, but sung in Greek. The name of the song hasn't changed. "Greek #3" is the name of an album track, not a song, if that makes sense. The fact is, the words "number three" do appear in the song, just...ya know...in Greek. 69.116.237.147 01:51, 28 October 2010 (UTC)
Well, that's not entirely true. "Number three" in greek is "Aριθμόs Tρία", which They never say. The closest They come to saying it, as far as anyone can understand, is "και το τρίτο όταν βγαίνει". The translated title, "Aριθμόs Tρία", never actually appears in the song. -- DidgeGuy (आ ज) 02:01, 28 October 2010 (UTC)

A lot[edit | edit source]

There are TONS of songs that don't say the title. Should we put them all on here? —The thing Talk 19:08, 19 May 2012 (EDT)

That's what the category is for! -CapitalQtalk ♪ 19:22, 19 May 2012 (EDT)

Title in first line[edit | edit source]

Songs that have their title in the first line of the lyrics have been catching my attention lately. What does everyone think of having a list of these? Might be fun to write a script to compile the list. --Droffats (talk) 17:27, 3 April 2015 (EDT)
