Talk:Stone Cold Coup D'État

From This Might Be A Wiki

IT's ON NAOW.[edit]

This song is pretty much throwing down the gauntlet to Bruce Hornsby (who I dun't care for) and David Burne (who I do). This is like, some numbers all up in it, like he pulled out the numbers and is like "READ THEM* AND WEEP B&D." I cannot wait to see how B&D respond, but I will tell you one thing. They will NOT live up to this. Its on naow.

pounding[edit]

... woodblock or cowbell? --Nehushtan (talk) 21:13, 26 September 2019 (EDT)

I think it's a woodblock. --Nehushtan (talk) 14:19, 9 April 2020 (EDT)

Backing vocals[edit]

The harmonies on this remind me of the Beach Boys, or the mini spawn plants near the end of the movie "Little Shop of Horrors". --Nehushtan (talk) 14:19, 9 April 2020 (EDT)

Why?[edit]

It's incredible that they've never played this song live (at least according to this wiki and youtube). -- Thread Bomb (talk) 03:09, 4 August 2020 (EDT)

Cooktinated[edit]

I've always heard "cooked and ate" as one word, "cooktinated", and I don't know why or what that means. - fork

"Cooktinated" has only ever been mentioned in a financial aid guide for various school districts for the 1975-1976 school year. This sentence in the manual is the only result of looking up "cooktinated" on the internet, plus its used as an adjective. It does kind of sound like that in the song, though! --You&Me!!
