Talk:Speed And Velocity

From This Might Be A Wiki

I love Marty's voice on this --Inunaota4a 00:03, 2 September 2009 (UTC)

Why is this on TMBW? It's clearly by the B-52's.

Actually, the guitar reminds me of old REM --Duke33 01:25, 2 September 2009 (UTC)

I just want to say[edit]

I had a dream once where I was in my college's radio studio with, among others, a friend of mine, when another friend came in. The two hadn't met, but after I greeted the newcomer, the three of us began to sing an a cappella version of Speed And Velocity, without any sort of provocation or planning - a fact that would lead to our downfall. By the second verse, I found a snare drum to bang on, and at the bridge, my friends got really focused on each other. They skipped the drum fill just before the next chorus, though, and I got really pissed off. I stopped singing, and they did too. I exaggeratedly dropped the sticks and stormed out of the room.

Voice[edit]

Re: Marty's voice...doesn't he sound like he's trying to sing like the Johns? I like this song, simple yet incredibly catchy and educational to boot. --MisterMe 23:08, 6 March 2012 (EST)

I wonder what will happen if Marty decides to sing Now That I Have Everything (from the 1983 Demo Tape) in a future TMBG performance... -The Mayor of Cowtown (talk) 05:15, 20 February 2021 (EST)

Intro[edit]

Does anyone else think the intro for this song sounds inspired by the Millennium Force theme? Considering Millennium Force is a roller coaster, that would be appropriate. Just a thought. -thevince 15 July 2012
