Particle Man[edit]

Particle Man isn't listed, but they absolutely played it. Does anybody remember when it was in the set? SRMX12 (talk) 23:05, 9 February 2020 (EST)

Fixed--good catch. I do my best to be conscientious with adding the setlist to show pages, but from time to time I end up accidentally missing things. --Self Called Nowhere (talk) 00:14, 10 February 2020 (EST)
Oh and while we're on the topic I should also add that I just didn't add whatever the other song is that he's currently throwing in there to the setlist because I have no idea what it is, but it was the same at this show and the ones the day before and after. I've never heard "Chandelier" outside of the context of him doing it in the same spot either, I just know what it's called from seeing other people put it in setlists, but that doesn't help me when I'm the one putting the setlist up! --Self Called Nowhere (talk) 00:25, 10 February 2020 (EST)
I recommended giving Chandelier a listen. When Linnell drops in these bits, I have to imagine that he's giving a shout-out to the songwriters whose craftsmanship he admires. Sia has a number of well-constructed songs with intelligent lyrics (also check out Fire Meet Gasoline), as of course does Dolly Parton. --Nehushtan (talk) 14:38, 14 February 2020 (EST)
Agreed--1000 Forms of Fear is one of my top picks for the albums of the 2010s--mighty good stuff. Though I imagine it's quite amusing to hear Linnell try to belt out the high note of "Chandelier". :-) --MisterMe (talk) 15:57, 14 February 2020 (EST)
Thanks for updating! SRMX12 (talk) 17:34, 14 February 2020 (EST)
You're welcome! And re: the Sia talk above, honestly I've been uh let's say less than enthused about a large chunk of the music he's on the record as being fond of that I either did already knew or just checked out because of him, so I can no longer accept just him liking something as an endorsement worth paying attention to. I actually find Flans's taste in other people's music to be much more reliably high-quality. But of course musical taste is entirely subjective and both Johns (and everyone else!) are welcome to like whatever they want etc etc. --Self Called Nowhere (talk) 21:20, 14 February 2020 (EST)
Too true, also not awfully impressed with a lot of the items on his self-reported "influences" list. --Nehushtan (talk) 22:22, 14 February 2020 (EST)

1000th performance of Dr. Worm[edit]

Is it page-worthy that this show had the 1000th performance of Dr. Worm? - HotelDetectiveInTheFuture🪗 talk 🎸

We don't know this for sure, do we? Not every show TMBG has played are documented on TMBW. TitanicFog (talk) 14:55, 18 April 2022 (EDT)
How 'bout the 1000th known performance of Dr. Worm. -HotelDetectiveInTheFuture🪗 talk 🎸
That number can and will continue to fluctuate each time another setlist/bootleg recording featuring the song turns up. -CapitalQtalk ♪ 18:07, 18 April 2022 (EDT)

Not only that, there are plenty of songs they've played many, many times, and also plenty of big round numbers--so I could easily see this as a slippery slope to what would ultimately be a lot of clutter. --Self Called Nowhere (talk) 18:54, 19 April 2022 (EDT)
What about the first known performance? Considering that it's so frequently played... --ColorOfInfinity (talk) 01:19, 20 April 2022 (EDT)
First known performance is already easily accessible via the song page. --Self Called Nowhere (talk) 02:09, 20 April 2022 (EDT)
