Check this out[edit]

Look right underneath puppet Flansburgh...that's the kid from the planets video in the image...what's going on??? --Duke33 22:18, 27 January 2008 (UTC)

Maybe it's an easter egg? --WhatIsThatThing 23:15, 27 January 2008 (UTC)
Can I start an elaborate conspiracy theory? :D I'm putting my money on DVD exclusive. --Luke 23:17, 27 January 2008 (UTC)

So, the kid's on the CD/DVD packaging as well. I'm wondering if perhaps they had a few other non-number songs like Roy G. Biv that got pulled in the final tracklisting? Maybe they intended for it to be on originally...--Duke33 01:07, 9 February 2008 (UTC)

My money's on it being on the next children's DVD... the science one. Akagi 01:17, 9 February 2008 (UTC)
Looks like Akagi wins. -- Jason DeLima - ! - 22:28, 3 September 2009 (UTC)

Here Comes Science[edit]

Thing - I reverted your edits, because at least at this point, i don't think we have a rock-solid confirmation that this will be on Here Comes Science. It's a good bet, but we don't have proof at this point, unless you can point to something definite. --Duke33 21:10, 18 May 2009 (UTC)

Pluto[edit]

"Don't forget about Pluto Eris And a bunch of other stuff" Looks like the Giants have chosen wisely to stay neutral and keep out of the "Is Pluto A Planet or Dwarf Planet" controversy.

Notice how the second time round only includes the planets. Pluto's not there, for a pretty good reason - doing otherwise wouldn't be accurate. ~ blitzente (talk) 10:04, 6 September 2009 (UTC)
Either it's the scientific version of Letter / Not A Letter (we'll see when we see a video), or it's Them asking if there really is a definitive answer to the How Many Planets question, or rather if they care to know the answer-- in other words opting not to fall into the trap of scientists' councils' categorizations of what qualifies certain rock masses as planets. Or I'm spouting nonsense. ~ magbatz 10:15, 6 September 2009 (UTC)

Jupiter[edit]

Anybody with the DVD, can you take a screenshot of Jupiter? -- Jason DeLima - ! - 01:48, 9 September 2009 (UTC)

Other non-planet things[edit]

How awesome of TMBG to include stuff like Ceres, Pallas and Vesta (and a bunch of other stuff)! Now more kids will know about these things. -- Buzzmusic100 ("Keep your voice down...")

Venus[edit]

It occurred to me that the section for Venus could be deliberately referring back to "For Science", which also includes an operatic female voice in the background (though I think it might have been a synthesized voice on the '80s song). This is highly appropriate for a song on Here Comes Science. :-) --MisterMe (talk) 15:17, 11 November 2014 (EST)

venus is commonly associated with femininity - the astrological sign for venus is the same as the female sign ♀ --Ncrecc (talk) 18:33, 8 August 2022 (EDT)
