Digital Downloads[edit]

I notice there isn't any entry for this (or other) albums for digital downloads. Is this typical? One effect of this is that I have no way to mark it for my Collection on the wiki, but more importantly, there's no consistent record of these releases. -- CJSF 22:59, 5 March 2013 (EST)

digital releases don't need to be catalogued because they're...digital. we don't usually take note of them, unless the album had a specific digital release like long tall weekened or unlimited, or if there was a specific digital release prior to a physical release (like join us and arnatq). in this day and age of illegal downloads, torrents, and spotify, i think it's basically assumed that you have access to most of tmbg's catalogue digitally, regardless of whether or not you obtained it legally (though of course, you should always obtain tmbg music legally!), whereas collections are actually physical acquisitions. -Apollo (colloquia!) 23:24, 5 March 2013 (EST)
also, keeping track of all the digital releases would be insanely tricky and messy. merch store downloads, amazon downloads, itunes downloads, the latter two of which have multiple regional stores that may release at different times, etc. yech. --ant 23:32, 5 March 2013 (EST)

IDLE number[edit]

Since the LP at least (I don't have the CD) has an Idlewild catalogue number (IDLE 131LP) in the runout groove of the record, should this be noted somewhere? ~ veggieman 20:45, 2 April 2013 (EDT)

it's not The catalogue number though. there's a good number of things that we know must have IDLE cats but don't know what they are; if we were to get ahold of then then i would say it would be worth adding to a list of some sort, but not as it stands. --ant 20:53, 2 April 2013 (EDT)
