So[edit]

That list in the trivia thing - does this mean we need a Theme page for varying-tempo songs?

I don't know... is it really interesting/important enough? --ΰΌΊπ„žπ„†β“†β“€β“”β“›βŽˆβ’Ήβ“žβ“œβ“œβ“β“–β“”π„‡ΰΌ» 23:43, 9 February 2010 (UTC)

Oh dread, it's...[edit]

This song builds up in the most imaginative way and includes prime examples of Linnell's circuitous lyrics. It also reminds me of the Shel Silverstein poem "Boa Constrictor" from his mid-1970s collection Where the Sidewalk Ends:

Oh, I'm being eaten
By a boa constrictor,
A boa constrictor,
A boa constrictor,
I'm being eaten by a boa constrictor,
And I don't like it--one bit.
Well, what do you know?
It's nibblin' my toe.
Oh, gee,
It's up to my knee.
Oh my,
It's up to my thigh.
Oh, fiddle,
It's up to my middle.
Oh, heck,
It's up to my neck.
Oh, dread,
It's upmmmmmmmmmmffffffffff...[1]
