Talk:Kids Sampler

From This Might Be A Wiki

"Kids Sampler" three years before the band's first album for children? How bizarre and interesting. I wonder who selected the tracks. -CapitalQtalk ♪ 21:57, 8 December 2010 (UTC)

I don't know for sure, but i would assume that the reps at Zomba picked the tracks. I have to say, this is actually a really fun disc, for just being a sampler of existing tracks. --Duke33 14:51, 9 December 2010 (UTC)
They were probably toying with the idea by this time, they were talking about their upcoming kids' record for a long time before it actually came out. --Oddjob 17:41, 9 December 2010 (UTC)

We should add these to track pages, right? --$¥Šтəмд†↓к є┌╓☼╔ (talk) 23:55, 9 December 2010 (UTC)

Like these things? No...? -- DidgeGuy (आ ज) 01:34, 10 December 2010 (UTC)
I mean song pages like Istanbul (Not Constantinople) --$¥Šтəмд†↓к є┌╓☼╔ (talk) 02:44, 10 December 2010 (UTC)
Nah, I don't think so- this is just an 11-year-old promo, and is essentially unavailable. No sense in giving it the same stature as an official release. --Oddjob 14:22, 10 December 2010 (UTC)
As a general rule though - we do put samplers in the albums. Take a look at the recently discovered They Might Be Giants LP Sampler song pages. --Duke33 14:27, 10 December 2010 (UTC)
Do we if this was released by Zomba and most likely had little to no TMBG involvement? -- DidgeGuy (आ ज) 13:31, 10 December 2010 (UTC)
Zomba was acting as a management company for the band, so it's really no different to a sampler that was released by Hornblow. --Duke33 14:37, 10 December 2010 (UTC)

This is selling on ebay right now for 250 bucks. That's hilarious. --Waymu (talk) 14:22, 7 June 2016 (EDT)

Is the disc art or back insert interesting? Giants Jubilee Mightathon (talk) 11:46, 10 August 2020 (EDT)
