When it comes to rock instrumentals, The Allman Brother's 'Jessica' is in my top three, along with The Eagles 'Journey of the Sorcerer' and They Might Be Giant's very own 'Space Suit'.
Jessica is a magnificently uplifting song, and I think it's a perfect song for a band as 'springy' and happy as TMBG to cover, unlike the Phil Ochs song they did -- which is too maudlin in my opinion... -- Timus
I just saw a video for Larry Marder's Tales of the Beanworld [[1]] that used this as the soundtrack.
